Attention all Disney enthusiasts! Get ready for an exciting update at EPCOT! Frozen Ever After, the beloved attraction, has undergone a major transformation and is now open earlier than expected. But here's the twist: it's not just a simple soft opening; it's a full-scale upgrade with physical faces for Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff! This means no more projected faces, and the animatronics are looking better than ever. The ride received a complete makeover, including new animatronic heads, refreshed show lighting, set touch-ups, and an updated show control system. Disney shared a sneak peek of the updated animatronics before the soft opening, and the results are stunning! When Frozen Ever After first opened in 2016, the human animatronics had projected faces, which were a technological marvel at the time. However, they didn't always look or function as intended. Fast forward to 2023, and a second version of the ride opened at Hong Kong Disneyland with World of Frozen, boasting impressive Audio-Animatronics with articulated, physical faces. Now, EPCOT is following suit! Disney announced in 2025 that Frozen Ever After would receive the same treatment, and the soft opening on February 11th was a testament to that. So, if you're planning a visit to EPCOT, be sure to check out the updated Frozen Ever After. Stay tuned for more photos and the full video, and let us know on social media if you're excited to ride it soon!
